Amazing Art of Caricature course!

I just finished the 'Art of Caricature' course and it was absolutely fantastic! The lessons were so engaging and fun. I learned so many tricks and techniques I never would have thought of. My caricatures look so much more expressive now, it's incredible. I had such a blast with this one. I will definitely be back for more courses from Proko. Everyone who loves drawing should check them out!

Reliable content as always

I've bought several courses from Proko over the years. My latest was 'Digital Painting' during their holiday sale. It was the usual smooth transaction; I knew exactly what to expect from previous purchases. The quality of instruction is consistently high, just like their 'Figure Drawing Fundamentals' course I did last year. No technical issues with the videos, which is always a plus. They keep things updated and relevant. It's why I keep coming back when I want to learn something new in art.

Comprehensive Anatomy Course

I purchased the 'Anatomy of the Human Body' course during their New Year sale. The ordering process was smooth enough, just a few clicks to get everything done. Access was instant, which was great. Delivery isn't really a thing for digital courses, but the streaming quality for the videos was consistently good, even on my older laptop. I had a quick question about one of the exercises and used their support contact form; they got back to me within 24 hours with a helpful answer. The content itself is thorough, Stan breaks down complex topics really well. I appreciated the detailed examples and practice assignments. Some of the modules are quite long, so I usually broke them into smaller study sessions. Overall, a solid learning experience and I feel like I've really improved my understanding of figure construction.

Liked the Portrait Drawing course

I grabbed the 'Portrait Drawing Fundamentals' course a little while ago. It was pretty straightforward to sign up and get access to everything. The instructor explains things in a way that makes sense, which was nice. I've been practicing the techniques and I can tell a difference in my sketches. The pacing felt good, not too fast or slow. Overall, a good experience and I'm happy with how my portraits are turning out.

Good value on Shading Course

I was looking for something to improve my shading and saw the 'Shading Course' was discounted. It wasn't a huge sale, just a small percentage off, but every bit helps. The content was pretty solid for the price I paid. I watched all the videos and did most of the exercises. I think I got my money's worth. It definitely helped me understand light and shadow better, which was my main goal.

Is there a way to watch these courses offline? My internet can be a bit spotty sometimes.

N Nick Martinez 6 days ago
You can download the videos! I do it all the time for when I'm traveling or just want to avoid buffering. It's super handy.

Yeah, they let you download the course videos. I think it's part of the premium access. Really useful feature.

Can I use multiple coupon codes if I have a student discount AND a bundle deal?

O Olivia Lopez 4 weeks ago
Nah, I don't think so. I tried to stack a newsletter sign-up code with a holiday sale once and it only let me use one. They usually say you can't combine them.

R Robert Evans 4 weeks ago
afaik, you can only use one promo code at checkout. The bundle deals are usually a site-wide sale though, so those discounts are just applied automatically.

Hey, anyone know if they're gonna have a Cyber Monday deal this year? Wanna grab the figure drawing bundle but wondering if I should wait a bit.

R Rachel Lopez 2 weeks ago
Yeah, they almost always do. I got my portrait course during their Black Friday thing last year, and I'm pretty sure they extend it through Cyber Monday.

They usually have big sales around those holidays. It's probably worth waiting if you're not in a rush, you can save a good chunk of change on bundles.

Are the Proko courses better than Skillshare? I'm trying to decide between the two for improving my figure drawing.

A Anthony Scott 3 weeks ago
I've used both. Proko is way more in-depth for fundamentals and anatomy. Skillshare is great for exploring different techniques or quick projects, but for a solid foundation, I'd go Proko.

I'm a complete beginner, never really drawn before. Are these courses too advanced for someone like me, or can I actually learn from scratch?

A Alex C. 1 week ago
They have a 'Drawing Basics' course that's made for absolute beginners. Start there, it's really good. Then you can move onto the others.

Don't worry, a lot of their stuff, especially the core courses like figure drawing and portraiture, start from the very basics and build up. You'll be fine if you're willing to put in the work.

Thinking of getting the Anatomy course. Is it super heavy on needing specific supplies or can I just use what I have?

S Susan Martin 1 month ago
Nah, for real, you don't need much. Just basic stuff like pencils and paper, maybe a charcoal stick if you're feeling fancy. They pretty much tell you that upfront.

M Megan Thomas 1 month ago
I think they list recommended materials but it's mostly general art supplies. Like, you don't need some super special expensive anatomical drawing kit or anything, just your usual pencils and sketchpad are good to start.
